NBA standout ANTHONY EDWARDS has officially agreed to grant Ayesha Howard full custody of their 6-month-old daughter, Aubri Summers Howard.
Recent court filings reveal that ANTHONY EDWARDS did not oppose Ayesha Howard’s legal motion for sole custody. Aubri has been under her mother’s care since birth, and the ruling comes after several months of legal disputes surrounding paternity and financial responsibilities.

In December 2024, ANTHONY EDWARDS filed a paternity case in Georgia, requesting a DNA test to confirm whether he was indeed the biological father. Alongside that, he sought to establish a child support agreement—contingent on paternity being proven.

Following the DNA confirmation that ANTHONY EDWARDS is the father, Ayesha Howard stated in court that he had remained both emotionally and financially absent from their daughter’s life even after receiving the test results.

“Anthony’s lack of involvement during my pregnancy and after Aubri’s birth has left me to manage everything alone,” Ayesha Howard shared in her legal testimony.
After moving to California, Ayesha Howard filed a separate case to address financial support. However, ANTHONY EDWARDS argued that the matter should stay within Georgia jurisdiction—a motion the court ultimately approved.
In a formal court statement, ANTHONY EDWARDS clarified that he had no interest in seeking custody or visitation rights. “I’m not pursuing custody or visitation for Aubri. My concerns are strictly financial,” he declared.
Currently unemployed, Ayesha Howard has been relying on her savings, support from relatives, and limited financial help from ANTHONY EDWARDS to raise their daughter. She’s also requesting additional assistance to cover everyday expenses and legal costs as the case progresses.
While the custody arrangement has been settled, the child support portion of the case remains unresolved.
