Located on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River, Casino de Trois-Rivières is one of three casinos operated by Société des casinos du Québec (SCQ), a provincial crown corporation responsible for managing casino operations throughout the province. History and Development
Casino de Trois-Rivières has its roots in the 1990s, when Québec’s government began exploring ways to create jobs and stimulate economic growth through tourism. In response, Société des casinos du Québec was established in 2001 casinotroisriviere.ca as a subsidiary of Loto-Québec, with a mandate to build and operate two new casinos: one in Montreal (Moirois) and another on the south shore. The latter eventually became Casino de Trois-Rivières.
After a multi-year process, construction began in 2007, followed by the opening of the casino on October 8th, 2010. Situated just off Autoroute 40, the location was strategically chosen to serve residents from nearby cities like Drummondville and Victoriaville while also capitalizing on passing traffic.
Layout and Facilities
Casino de Trois-Rivières features over 32,000 square meters of gaming space across three main areas: Le Marché des joueurs (a dedicated bingo area), les Salles d’évasion (an expansive game room for slots and electronic table games), and the Salon privé, a private VIP section catering to high-rollers. Visitors can enjoy more than 900 slot machines from popular providers, as well as over 20 classic games like Blackjack and Roulette.
